Marinos, beat Avispa Fukuoka 2-1 at home and were beaten 3-1 at home by Mito. That means they come in on three straight defeats and have not won on the road in their last five trips. In those eight games they have scored nine and let in fifteen, failing to find the net twice.

The two clubs have split their recent head-to-head meetings. In the last two encounters each side has won once, with no draws. Those games have produced an average of 3.5 goals.
